Mr. Buford Desmond Joyce

Mr. Buford Desmond Joyce, 89, resident of High Point, died March 10th, 2013 at Graybrier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Trinity.
Mr. Joyce was born July 8th, 1923 in Guilford County, a son to the late John and Alpha New Joyce.  A resident of this area all his life, he was a U.S. Navy veteran and owner and operator of Joyce Package.  In 1945 he married Ruth Frances Joyce who preceded him in death in 2000.  Also preceding him were seven brothers and sisters.
Surviving is a daughter, Kaye Joyce Culler and husband Bobby of High Point; a son, Mike Desmond Joyce of High Point; five grandchildren, Jennifer Bondurant, Misty Wood, Bryan Harrelson, Dr. Jordan Harris and Michael Casey Joyce; and four great-grandchildren, Weston Bondurant, Carter Wood, Desmond Wood and Maren Grace Harris.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Highland United Methodist Church.  Entombment will follow at Floral Garden Park Cemetery in High Point.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Memorials may be directed to Highland United Methodist Church, 1015 Mill Ave. High Point, NC 27260.
