Agnes Melissa Mabe Robbins, 95, died Monday, September 18, 2017, at Beacon Place in Greensboro. She was born May 28, 1922, in Patrick County, VA, and was the daughter of the late James and Martha Thomas Mabe. She was a retired upholsterer for Crescent Wood Furniture Company and was a member of Central Wesleyan Church in Thomasville for more than fifty years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael William Robbins, and six brothers and sisters. She is survived by a son, Bill Robbins and wife, Judith, of Greensboro; two grandchildren, Kimberly Johnston and husband, Benny, of High Point and Jennifer Petrisor and husband, David, of Elk Grove, CA; four great-grandchildren, Cody Johnson, Chase Johnson, Kenzi Johnson and Attia Johnston; a sister, Frances Cox of Winston-Salem; a brother, Ray Mabe of Winston-Salem; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial service celebrating Agnes’ life will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, September 22, 2017, in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service with the Rev. Ken Chester officiating. Private family burial will take place at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
