Bill Clifton Hare

Mr. William “Bill” Clifton Hare, 80, resident of Colfax, died July 21, 2017 at High Point Regional Hospital.

Mr. Hare was born May 24, 1937 in Smithfield, NC, a son to the late Herman and Grace Eldridge Hare.  He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of 27 years and later worked for the Department of Defense.  He was a resident of the Virginia Beach area 40 years and moved to Colfax 4 years ago.  On October 6, 1959 he married the former Judy Noshi who survives of the residence.  He and his wife were members of Friendly Ave. Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Deborah Egan and husband Bob of Greensboro; and three grandchildren, Grace, Jared and Peter.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday at River Landing at Sandy Ridge with Rev. Nancy Williams-Berry officiating.  Visitation will immediately follow the service.  Interment with military honors will be held prior to the service at Green Hill Cemetery in Greensboro.  Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association Western Carolina Chapter, 4600 Park Rd.
