Bobby Eugene Slate

High Point—Mr. Bobby Eugene Slate, 80 of High Point passed away on July 11 after a brief stay at the Hospice Home of High Point.  Bobby was a founder and Owner of Eller and Slate Oil Company where he worked until he retired in 2000. Bobby was preceded in death by his wife of 16 years Betty H. Slate, His wife of 13 years Ann Slate, his parents Cecil and Ruby Slate and sister Pernie Slate Harvel. He is survived by his loving companion of 2 years Jeanette Mayne, his sons Terry Slate and wife Lynn of Apex,
Michael Slate and wife Christine of Gainesville GA; Daughter Tammy Slate Beck and husband Derek of Thomasville; grandchildren Taylor Slate and Madison Slate; great grandchild Victoria Slate; Sister Carolyn Jean Slate Alcon and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

The family will receive family and friends at Cumby Family Funeral Service High Point Chapel on Friday July 14 from 6-8 p.m. A graveside service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Floral Gardens Memorial Park. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at High Point Regional Hospital and the Hospice Home of High Point for the wonderful and kind care they extended to Bobby during his final days on Earth
