Dan Bowman

Dan Bowman, 76, of High Point, passed away August 6, 2017.  He was born May 25, 1941, in Hickory, NC, to the late Ernest Ray and Goldie Cleo Bowman.  He was a graduate of Hickory High School.  In 2003, Dan retired from MGM Trucking after 17 years of service.  He loved to fish, golf, bowl and play tennis.  Dan was a member of Westchester Baptist Church.  A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, he will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Jean Bowman; daughter and son-in-law, Dana and John Wilson of Trinity; son and daughter-in-law, David and Alice Bowman of Thomasville; six grandchildren, Jordan Wilson, Travis Wilson, Jesse Bowman, Aaron Bowman, Elizabeth Bowman and Esther Bowman; sister, Rachel Bradshaw (Tommy) of Hickory; brother, Joe Bowman of Asheville; brother-in-law, Jimmy Norris (Kay); and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Aileen Richards; and brother, Donald Bowman.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 11, 2017, at Westchester Baptist Church in High Point, with Dr. Eric Peacock officiating.  Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Church.
