Deborah "Debi" Louise (Ashby) Watson

High Point - Mrs. Deborah Louise Ashby Watson entered into Heaven on April 11th, 2024. After fighting a long courageous battle with cancer, she succumbed to her illness at Wake Forest High Point Medical Center. She was the dedicated and loving daughter of Jack and Ann Ashby,born July 31st, 1955 in High Point, North Carolina.
 
She graduated from High Point Central High School and Ashmore Business College and attended GTCC. Prior to her illness she was employed at Hanes Brands Inc. of Winston Salem. While working in the textile industry during her career, she forged lifelong friendships and mentored many along the way. She was an excellent cook, enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. She was an avid proponent for the support and adoption of shelter animals. She was a fiercely loyal wife, mother, sister and friend. She will be remembered for her sharp wit and her willingness to lend support to neighbors, friends and family.
 
Debi is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Bruce Watson, of the home, daughters, Millie and Meredith Watson of Greensboro; her father Jack Ashby of High Point, 2 sisters, Kathy Ritch of Thomasville and Pamela Mclamb and husband Troy McLamb of Trinity; 7 nieces and 8 nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Ann Ashby of High Point.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 16th, at 3:30pm in the chapel of Wesley Memorial Methodist Church In High Point, followed by visitation.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Guilford County Animal Shelter.
