Dennis Lee Bowers, Jr.

Dennis Lee Bowers, Jr., 21, of Archdale, passed away June 15, 2017.

Dennis was born September 5, 1995, in High Point. He graduated from Wheatmore High School in 2013 and also graduated from NC State University where he studied Livestock and Poultry Management. He most recently attended NCA&T State University enrolled in Agriculture Education and made the Dean’s List this past semester. Dennis enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, the Cattlemen’s Association, and was of the Baptist faith. Dennis was employed as a farm manager for Dewitt Farms in Ellerbe.

He is survived by his mother, Sherri McDaniel Bryant; his father and step-mother, Dennis and Kathie Bowers; maternal grandparents Billy and Brenda McDaniel; paternal grandmother, Wanda Bowers; paternal great grandmother, Edna Roof; brother, Jeremy Culler and wife, Hannah; three sisters, Megan Davis and husband, Abel, Nichole Dawson and husband, Tyler, and Jessica Bowers; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, officiated by Rev. Billy McDaniel, Rev. Daniel Hawtree, and Rev. James Sweeney. Interment will follow in Guil Rand Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
