Donald "Don" Ray Hall

Mr. Donald Ray Hall, 90, died January 16, 2018 at the Hospice Home at High Point.
He was born November 5, 1927 in Guilford County, son of the late Eugene Young Hall and Anna Cranford Hall. He attended High Point High School. Donald served in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Airforce during World War II. He participated in the Triad Flight of Honor to Washington, D.C.
He was a member of Deep River Friends Meeting. After the war, he returned to High Point and worked at High Point Fire Department. He later worked for the U.S. Postal service and retired as a supervisoer in 1982.
He married Nina Sue Wilson on January 22, 1977. Don and Nina loved to travel. He and Nina were Atlanta Brave fans and enjoyed their trips to watch the Braves play. They never missed watching the Braves play on television. They also enjoyed their trips to the Amish Country and Alaska. Nina preceded him in death in 2016, as did his brother Kent Hall.
Surviving are his six children, Mike Hall and wife, Vikki of High Point, Roy Watts and wife, Phyllis of Trinity, Randall Watts and wife, Martha of Lugoff, SC, Richard Watts of High Point, Alan Watts and partner, Jerry Hunt, Jr. of Lexington, NC, Susan Watts Embler and husband, Randy of Murrells Inlet, SC., one sister; Evelyn Rich of High Point, and sister-in-law,; Ramona Hall of High Point, Amelia Wilson of High Point, Doris Marie Hines of Jacksonville, FL, ten grandchildren; Shelly Hall (partner, Sherry Clinard), Mandy Cochran (Drew), Robbie Hall (Brittany), Daniel Watts )Anna), Jonathan Watts (Lauren), Sara Miller (Erick)Jenny Gourley (Bill), Matt Watts (Nicole), Jessica Watts, Lauren Watts and 10 great grandchildren.
Celebration of Don’s life will be at 2:00pm on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Deep River Friends Meeting, officiated by Rev. Scott Wagoner and Rev. John Sides.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00pm on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Deep River Friends Meeting.
