Jim, Helen, and extended family,
Dave and I were saddened to learn yesterday (12/5/17) of Lee's passing. What a wonderful person!!! Dave and I always particularly enjoyed being with your family. And some of our fondest memories are of those barbership sounds ringing out over the mountain. We extend our deepest sympathy to you all and will uphold you in our thoughts and prayers during this time of loss. With our warmest friendship and sympathy, Linda and Dave

My heart goes out to the Cain family in the passing of Mr Cain. Lee was such a bright light. There wasn't a room he walked into that his smiling face didn't comfort. I am so grateful to have gotten to know and spend time with him over the years at church, and his hugs and kind words have always stick with me. It breaks my heart to see him go, but his memory will live on in those he impacted. I'm so grateful to have known him. Again I'm so sorry for your lost.

I feel quite honored to have known Mr. Cain for so many years. As one of his clients, he always made me feel as though I was a part of his family rather than a client. His family and friends are very blessed to have had him in their lives for so many years and to have phenomenal memories of him, as I do also. I will think of you all and know he will always be in your hearts ,souls, and daily lives.

Condolences to Lee's family as you celebrate the life of the family patriarch. Lee has been a mentor, father, friend and colleague to me and to many in Winston -Salem. I am blessed to have known this man who was always true to himself. Never wavering in his conviction that his clients come first, he was an inspiration of how business can be compassionate rather than institutional. He will certainly live on in the lessons he taught us by his example. He was a kind, generous and loving man who will be greatly missed.

So sad to learn of Lee’s passing. He and I were colleagues at Legg Mason n the late 80s. Lee signed my Wake Forest diploma. He was a real gentleman and always took an interest in and showed kindness to his colleagues. He will be missed.

I always enjoyed listening to Lee speak, as he was so eloquent and thoughtful in every sentiment he shared. It was a joy to see him at church and his presence will be truly missed. Please know our family is holding you all close during this time and in the days to come.
