What an inspiration Edith was to me! At 93 I would see her in her Sunday school class every Sunday, it was still important to her. We would visit for a moment as she left the class and I went in for mine. She was a sweet and classy lady. I will miss seeing her but it has been a privilege to know her. Please know I am sorry for your loss.

It has been a great privilege to be Edith's friend and pastor for the past 19 years. Edith was very involved in her Sunday school class and in Carmel's ministries. In my role as Adult Pastor, I led several events and trips that Edith and her many friends went on with the church. Edith was a great encourager and called all the ladies in her class every week to check on them. I looked forward to a hug from Edith just about every Sunday morning. All of us in the Carmel Baptist family will miss her dearly.
