Mr. Floyd “JuneBug” Garland Johnson, Jr., 59, of Sophia, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at High Point Regional Hospital.
Born January 9, 1959, in High Point, JuneBug was the son of Floyd and Zellen Ray Farmer Johnson. He was preceded in death by his mother. He was a member of Hope Baptist Church in Sophia, and sang with the For His Glory gospel group. He owned and operated J&L Johnson Trucking.
JuneBug is survived by his wife of 20 years, Letitia Ashburn Johnson; his father, Floyd Garland Johnson, Sr.; four children, Matthew Johnson, Heather Cody, Forrest Glaspey and wife, Sara, and Bill Glaspey and wife, Jacqueline; six grandchildren, Hope Glaspey, Natalie Glaspey, Emma Glaspey, Kyleigh Cody, Saiyler Morris, and Ivan Glaspey; and two sisters, Doris Sontag and Lois Johnson.
Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Hope Baptist Church in Sophia, officiated by Rev. Steve McSwain. Interment will follow in Randolph Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6 until 8 at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale.
