Frederick "Freddy" Wayne Goad

Mr. Frederick “Freddy” Wayne Goad, 66, of Archdale, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Randolph Health & Rehab in Asheboro.

Born April 19, 1951, in Pulaski, VA, Freddy was the son of the late Fred and Pauline Rupe Goad. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, James Hix. Freddy was a veteran of the US Army, having served for 18 years and earning the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was retired from ABC Supply.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Anne Hix Goad; two children, Freddy Goad, Jr. and Wendy Parnell and husband, Eric; step-son, Chris Martin and wife, Julie; grandchildren, Erica and Megan Martin, and Wayne and Kayla Parnell; and a sister, Sue Retta Edwards and husband, Dallas. He is also survived by two aunts, Louise Walker and Ella Mae Goad; and two nieces, Tracy and Angie.

A service to celebrate his life will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 6th, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, in Archdale, officiated by Rev. Troy Carter. The family will receive friends following the service.
