Herbert Schmidt

Herbert Schmidt, 68, died Friday, December 1, 2017 at High Point Regional Hospital.

Herbert was born in Germany on November 30, 1949 to the late Phillipp Schmidt and Margrete Schilf Schmidt.  Being raised in Germany he moved to the United States in 1977.  He worked at Haefele for 15 years and retired after 25 years from Fulterer as Vice President.  He did love to go back in visit his home country of Germany and see his family and friends there.  Herbert also enjoyed playing golf and collecting model trains.

Those who are left to cherish his memories are his son; Wilhelm Schmidt of High Point, his sister; Renate Bea and husband, Harold of Germany, his nieces and nephew; Sara Bea, Madlen Wilhelm and Patrick Bea.

The family will have a private service at a later date.
