James Kenneth Wheatley

Mr. James Kenneth “Booger” Wheatley, 55, of Archdale, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017 at the Hospice Home at High Point.

Born November 10, 1961, in Lenoir, Kenneth was the son of James and Christine Whisnant Wheatley. He was a member of Springfield Baptist Church and had worked for V & E Components. He enjoyed NASCAR, football, fishing, and lifting weights. Kenneth was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Wheatley.

Survivors include his parents, James and Christine Wheatley; brother, Scott Wheatley; sisters, Robin Williams and husband, Bill, Sonja Shumate and husband, Chris, and Lisa Everhart and husband, Timothy; nieces, Stacy Williams and Anna Shumate; nephews, Tyler Everhart, Christopher Shumate, and Derek Williams; and great niece, Zoey Williams. He is also survived by his beloved four-legged son, Petey.

Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, officiated by Rev. Roger Carmichael. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times will be at 117 Renola Drive, Archdale.
