John Wesley Hawks Sr.

Mr. John Wesley Hawks Sr., 74, resident of High Point, died March 19, 2017 at Hospice Home at High Point.

Mr. Hawks was born October 24, 1942 in Guilford County, a son to the late Hubert and Flora Caudle Hawks.  A resident of this area most of his life, he attended Gospelway Baptist Church and worked in nursing home maintenance.  He was loved and will be missed by all his many friends.  In 2016 he married the former Doris Faye Campbell who survives of the residence.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, JoAnn Tesh Hawks.

Also surviving is a son, John Wesley Hawks Jr. of Thomasville; a daughter, Pamela Hawks of Tennessee; three brothers, Bill Hawks and wife Katie of High Point, Frank Hawks and wife Peggy of High Point and H.L. Hawks of Greensboro; a sister, Margaret Morgan and husband J.C. of Lexington; two grandchildren and his special dog, Diamon.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Gospelway Baptist Church, 310 Circle Dr. Archdale, NC, 27263.
