My apologies for sending this condolence so late, but I only just learned of Lake's passing. I worked with Lake and Horace at the airport when they were shuttling cars and we became instant friends. They took all of us under their wings and my boyfriend Alan and I actually double dated with them several times. We loved going up to eat at Hillbilly Hideaway together and they just got such a kick out of sharing with all of you that your parents and grandparents were double dating and having their own favorite parking spot at the airport. Lake taught us all so much about loving others with your whole heart and the importance of being fully present for your friends and family. I still can hear her say, "Hey Baby" to Horace or "Listen up.... here's what I was thinking...." (the start of a new adventure together). I selected this bear with the heart because I know how much she treasured her stuffed animals, especially the last one, that Horace gave her for Valentine's Day. I agree with Cheryl, she is likely doing sommersaults with Horace in heaven for the sheer joy of being with him again. Losing him, as you know very well, was the hardest test of her life, which of course in time she overcame, but never stopped missing him on a soul level. She was so proud of all her family and talked about all of you with love and pride every chance she got. And her albums will be a lasting legacy and reminder that every day we need to get up and expect something special to happen. She just took it a step further and captured it on film so she could remember it when she was "old and her memory was failing" she could relive she & Horace's love story again and again. Sail on darling girl.... you live on in our hearts, always!

Hello family I was so sorry to hear about the passing of our sweet lake. I just wanted to let you all know how special lake was to me and my family. In the years I worked with lake she take me so much about life and most importantly marriage. I know she is doing cartwheels in heaven to be back with Horace!
I am so sorry I wasn't able to make it to the services but I want you all to know that I have been praying for your family. I have updated the former triangle family about the loss. She was an amazing woman who did amazing things!

In the last few days I have heard people tell me my mom was such a inspiration and a guiding light in their lives. I believe you also inspired and guided her as well. It was such a pleasure to hear all of your stories. As we know she was a special lady and we will miss her deeply but the memories we have....oh so many good memories. Thank you all for being there in this time of need and supporting me and my family. Words cannot express how grateful I am to everyone of you. God Bless You All.

There are almost no words for the loss the world now has but I know how much Lake loved God and now I know she is reunited with her beloved husband and son and this offers comfort. She will continue to brighten our world by shining down from above. Lake and I became best friends in the past few years when I lived in NC for a while. She was a blessing and we both shared a love of late night talks about life and travel. I am a better person for having known her and so fortunate that we grew so close. She was a huge emotional support to me and we tried to schedule talks by phone every few weeks when I moved for school and work. Memories of her bright smile, loving heart and positive spirit will never leave me, nor anyone she has ever encountered. I will live life with more purpose and lightheartedness because of her influence. Her whole heart belonged to her family and friends and I know we all will continue to cherish the time she gave us. Thank you to God for sending such an angel to my life. I am praying for her family as they deal with this loss. God bless and keep you all. She is no longer on earth but is living forever in his kingdom and one day we will meet again sweet Lake.

Devane and all the family, Aunt Lake was a very special person liked and loved by many, including myself. She was outgoing but yet very "proper" and as many did I admired her so much. My relationship with my sister in law, Paulette made her seem like family to me, and I always called her Aunt Lake, and I grew to love her. She was an outstanding and loving person and will be missed by many. My love and prayers are with you all.Kaye and Randy Campbell โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’…๐Ÿ’…

I am sorry to hear about the loss of your dear loved one Mrs. Lake. Please accept my condolences at this painful time. Losing a loved one is distressing and as comfort is needed from family and friends, it is my hope your family will find comforting the promise at Isaiah 25:8 where we are assured that "death will be swallowed up forever." It is my hope your family will find strength to endure during the days ahead.

Ms. Lake will be deeply missed by our family. She was a beautiful and happy person to be around. She lit up the room when she walked in with that beautiful smile. She treated everyone with love and respect. Our sincerest condolences to her family, both spiritual and physical. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Message from Stephanie White/ Wal-Mart friend
April 18, 2017 12:56 AM

Yesterday was an AMAZING day but I received some sad news... My very very dear friend Lake F. Williard passed away on Easter Sunday. To know Mrs. Lake was to LOVE her... She was such an inspiration to so many. If I could only be 1/4 of the Daughter, Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Friend that she was to so many others my life would be complete. I know she is rejoicing and was serenaded by angels and greeted by Horace( her dear LOVE) in Heaven. It would be selfish to be sad because she lived a very good long blessed life and she touched & blessed so many lives. Her SMILE will live on FOREVER! She was always my late night long hours listening bestfriend... I worked in the Wal-Mart photo lab for many years. I thoroughly enjoyed sharing in her joy of picture taking and it was an honor to watch her entire family grow and change over the many years as she was my most favorite customer ever. I will always be her Wal-Mart Friend. Our friendship was so much more she gave me the guidance I needed to survive my early years of marriage and raising my children. She will be sorely missed but NEVER forgotten. Constant prayers going up!! Asking that the entire family feel STRENGTH and PEACE & GUIDANCE in the days ahead ๐Ÿ’— God is the Almighty Healer, place your heavy hearts in his hands and trust in his great power! Love & Prayers continued.

Lake "Grandma Lake" and I have been friends for years. We have discussed, passed our opinions, and laughed about a lot of different things. We also have shared each others sorrows. We have spent lots of years and many events worshipping together at Parkwood. She is a super lady and I certainly will not stand alone in missing her. She will be missed by many.
Love You Grandma.

Lake was a lovely, southern lady. She was very special to me and my family during my ministry at Parkwood. She was so generous to the many activities at Parkwood and especially to the Children's Ministry. She was such an angel and will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
