Margaret (Calloway) Talley

Mrs. Margaret Calloway Talley, 96, resident of Thomasville, died May 17, 2017 at Pine Ridge Health and Rehabilitation.  She is now in the loving hands of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Margaret was born October 31, 1920, a daughter to the late Oran C. and Daisy Ila Giles Calloway.  She had fond memories growing up on the family farm and spent her entire life in Davidson County.  She loved working on arts and crafts, especially crochet, ceramics and Swedish weaving.  Her husband, Charles Evans Talley, preceded her in death in 2007.  She was also preceded by her daughter-in-law, Pat Talley, two sisters and seven brothers

Surviving is a daughter, Tena Hough and husband Lee of High Point; four sons, Larry Talley and wife Betsy of Thomasville, Ted Talley of Trinity, Ronald Talley and wife Ina of Lexington and Douglas Talley of High Point; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of the Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point.  Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
