Marsha (Hensley) Rominger

Marsha Hensley Rominger, 74, of High Point, entered into eternal life on January 16, 2018. 

Marsha was born December 22, 1943 in Lenior and lived for 74 years and 25 days. She was the daughter to the late Marion Lafayette Hensley and Dorothy Huntington Hensley. 

She was a member of Kernersville Wesleyan Church. 

While Marsha was her name, she was more affectionately known as Nana. She wore this name with pride as it was what everyone called her. She and Dan met at Lee’s McRae College in Banner Elk, NC; where she studied and became a medical secretary. In 1964, she eloped Dan, but  their love was so grand they married again a year later. Her passions were family, flowers, sewing, her flock of birds, reading, sitting in the sun on the lanai, a box of Russell-Stover’s, Red Lobster, and living on “Mibeck time”. While she may have been short in stature, welding her “Texas persona”, she impacted both her family and friends, strangers and acquaintances alike with enormous grace and love. Blue glass, Lucy & Ethel, and chickens.

Those who are left to cherish her memories are her husband of 54 years, Rev. Danny Lee Rominger, two daughters: Denise Rominger Jarman, Melissa Rominger Bagwell and husband, Len of Belews Creek, and a special granddaughter, Suzannah Melissa Rominger; two grandchildren: Reagan Bagwell, Luke Bagwell; a sister, Dorothy Hensley Barrett of Murfreesboro, TN, and her surviving nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Marsha’s life will be held at 11:00 am of Friday, January 19, 2018 at Kernersville Wesleyan Church, 930 N. Main Street, Kernersville, NC  27284 with the Rev. Scott Simmons and Pastor Don Martin officiating.

The family will visit with friends following the service in the church.
