Maxine King "Nana" Honeycutt

TRINITY-Maxine King “Nana” Honeycutt, 81, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017.
She was born on March 29, 1936 in McDowell County, NC, to the late John and Donna Buchannan King. A resident of this area most of her life, she had owned and operated Elite Bakery of High Point for many years, and later retired from the Randolph County School System. She was a Charter member of Trindale Community Church. Maxine enjoyed baking, decorating cakes and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death was her husband, Austin “Gene” Honeycutt.
She leaves to cherish her memory; her son, Mike Honeycutt and his wife Deborah of Lexington; her brother, Bill King of Marion and her sister, June Wilson of Oteen, NC. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Jason Honeycutt and his wife Michelle and Amanda Honeycutt; her great grandchildren, Avery, Sydney, Austin, Nathan, Anna, and Skylar.
A service to celebrate Maxine’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 28, at 2 pm, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale, with Pastor Ernesto Velasquez and Pastor Darrell Greene officiating. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:45 until 1:45 pm, at the funeral home.
