Like lighting a candle, Mike Johnson lit up the room when he entered it. He was a delight to work with. He always had a smile and something funny to say. I knew that if the coffee wasn't made first thing in the morning, Mike must be in a meeting our out of the office - because he loved his coffee!! He was a kind and gentle soul who loved life and loved people. He adored his family as he often spoke of Becky and Brooke and how proud he was of them. He truly had a servant's heart - always helping others - even after his passing - he gave of himself so that others' might have a better life. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time.

It's hard to put into words the sadness I have over Mike's passing. He was like a brother to me during our high school years and have many great memories of that time.

To Becky, Brooke, and the rest of Mike's family, you are all in my prayers. I pray that the Lord will comfort you during the days and weeks to come.

Lastly, this is not goodbye. I will see you later "Maynard."

Mike was a talented and hardworking member of our team, but above all he was truly a gentle and kind hearted person. I will miss the times we used to chat in our break room in the morning as he made his coffee and shared many lighter moments. He had a unique sense of humor. Mike will always be remembered for his positive and can do attitude. I know I will miss his presence and so will our entire team at Guilford County.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

I worked briefly with Mike as we were both in the IT field. He was a true professional with impeccable integrity. He also worked alongside my mother and father in the Archdale-Trinity Lion's Club within which he was a devoted member and officer for many years.

As one of Mike's coworkers, I am so saddened at his passing. I am grateful to have known him as both a colleague and a friend. I will miss him a great deal, but am encouraged in the knowledge that, by God's grace and mercy, I will see him again "on the other side." HIs wife, daughter and entire family are in my prayers.
