Patricia Ann Harris

Patricia Ann Harris, age 87, passed away Wednesday March 22nd, 2017 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.  Graveside services will be held Saturday March 25th at 11:00 AM at Maplewood Cemetery in Durham, NC with Rev. Christopher Ingram officiating.

She was born February 20th, 1930 in Durham to Robert S. and Nancy Wood Harris.  She graduated from Hope Valley High School in 1948 and was a member of Yates Baptist Church in Durham.  She was retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC and had also previously worked at Long Meadow Dairy in Durham.  She enjoyed volunteer work at her church, the museum, and the hospital, and was a reading mentor to children.  She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, and aunt.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her two brothers Bob and Bill Harris.  Surviving is her niece Beth Harris Joyce (Jackie) of Thomasville, NC and nephew Lynn Harris (Beth Riley) of Raleigh, NC, sister-in-law, Emilie Harris of High Point, NC, and four grandnieces and grandnephews.
