Richard Hicks

ARCHDALE-Richard Hicks, 55, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017.

He was born on June 24, 1962 in Russell County, VA, to the late Hughie and Dorothy Hagy Hicks.  A resident of this area most of his life, he had worked for Wagoner Woodcraft for 25 plus years. Richard enjoyed fishing and small engine repair. His true love and passion was spending time with his family. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle and he will be dearly missed.. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were 2 brothers, Kelly and Ralph Hicks.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his daughters, Christine Wilson and her husband, Nicholas, Kathy Bradley and her husband Jimmie; his brothers, Carter and Jerry Hicks; his sisters, Delores Fields, Pam McCoy, Bonnie Addington and Darlene Shields. Also surviving are his granddaughter, Makayla Wilson and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Richard’s life will be held at a later date.
