Roy "Sonny" Alson Teague, Jr.

Mr. Roy “Sonny” Alson Teague, Jr., 84, of High Point, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018, at the Hospice Home at High Point.

Born September 19, 1933, in High Point, Sonny was the son of the late Roy and Beulah Moss Teague. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Myra Calhoun Teague in 1989. Sonny was a member of Rich Fork Baptist Church in Thomasville. He was retired from Davis Furniture where he had worked for a number of years, and was also employed as a funeral assistant with Cumby Family Funeral Service.

Sonny is survived by his wife of 24 years, Brenda Davenport Teague; a son, Randy Teague and wife, Debra; step-children, Karen King and husband, Michael, and Eric Raines; grandchildren, Emily Teague Philbeck and husband, Jayson, and Kara Teague McNeill and husband, Thomas; and two brothers, John Teague and wife, Ann, and Carlyle Teague and wife, Linda.

Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at Rich Fork Baptist Church in Thomasville, officiated by Rev. Michael Bowers. Entombment will follow in the Floral Garden Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6 until 8 at Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point.
