Sarah Rachel (Allen) Sharp

GREENSBORO – Sarah Rachel Allen Sharp, 77, died Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at her residence.

She was born May 17, 1946, in Mabscott, West Virginia, and was the daughter of the late Earl Claude and Maude Livesay Allen. She was a devoted and faithful mother and homemaker who lived for her children and family. She enjoyed bowling, dancing, gospel music and playing slots at the casinos. She was a die-hard Jeopardy and Price is Right fan, never missing an episode.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Randow, Phyllis Bell and Sue Gritz; and five brothers, Junie Allen, Billy Allen, Eddie Allen, Danny Allen and Jerry Allen.

Sarah is survived by her three daughters, Tammi Summers (Rodney) of Elon, Melissa “Missy” Hodges and Kimberly Moses both of Greensboro; two granddaughters, Haley Hodges of Greensboro and Laci Summers of Elon; sister, Gloria “Sally” Pritchard of Walnutport, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Bob Allen of St. Lucie, Florida, and Jimmy Allen of Jensen Beach, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
