Shirley (Kivett) Williams

Shirley Kivett Williams, 85, of High Point died Thursday, August 3, 2017, at her residence.

She was born November 1, 1931, in Randolph County and was the daughter of the late Rez and Verla Kivett. She had attended Gate City Baptist Church and retired from JPStevens and later from Blue Bell/VF Corporation.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Hampton Williams, two sisters, and one brother.

She is survived by her son, Gerald Williams of High Point; a grandson, Russell Williams and his wife, Mandy; a great-grandson, Charlie Williams and one great-grandson on the way, all of Clover, SC.

Funeral service celebrating Shirley’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 7, 2017, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point with the Rev. Chan Shaver officiating.  Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.
