Mrs. Rebecca Jean Conner Hopkins, age 37, died Tuesday evening at her home.
A native of Bell County, Texas, Rebecca was born October 26, 1974, in Belton, Texas, a daughter of Larry and Leora Dingus Conner. She had been a resident of this area since 1983 and was a member of Home Moravian Church in Winston-Salem. In 2001 she earned her degree in communication from Salem College. Her last employment was in the Insurance claims department of Enterprise Car Rental. Preceding her in death were a sister, Scarla Riley and a brother Mark Riley.
In addition to her parents, Rebecca is survived by her husband Johnny Dwayne Hopkins and two daughters, Maureen Conner Hopkins of the home and Rebecca Beeson; two sisters, Shellie Beeson and Tracie Woolley and four brothers, Royal Dunavent, Shane Riley, Patrick Riley and Keith Riley.
A funeral service, to celebrate Rebecca’s life, will be held at 11:00 am Friday in Home Moravian Church in Winston-Salem with the Reverend Carl Southerland officiating. The family will receive friends in the Church Parlor one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in God’s Acre following the service.
