Albert Yonkovitz

Mr. Albert Francis Yonkovitz, 83, resident of Greensboro, NC died September 12, 2020 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.

Albert was born November 8, 1936 in Pittsburgh, PA, a son to the late Albert and Margaret Balogh Yonkovitz.  He was a veteran of the U.S. National Guard, retired from the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, was of the Methodist faith, and moved to the Greensboro area since 1997.  Following his retirement, he continued to remain active, volunteering at Moses Cone Hospital, working the information desk at Four Seasons Town Centre, then, serving as property manager for River View Town Homes, and Cedar Valley Town Homes.  

He is survived by his wife, Carol (Balog) of the residence.  Also, surviving is his son, Colonel  Albert F. Yonkovitz Jr. and wife, Lark; two grandchildren, Trilby K. Yonkovitz and Kacey T. Yonkovitz; a brother, Donald Yonkovitz; a brother-in-law, John Balog and wife, Michelle and several nieces, a nephew, and cousins.

A private gathering of his family was held September 17, 2020.
