Alice Marie (Greer) Hall

Mrs. Alice Greer Hall, 79, of Sophia, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017, at her residence.

Born November 11, 1938, in Henry County, VA, Alice was the daughter of the late Luther Moses Greer and Bertha Mae Mize Greer. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Willard Hall, son, Nathan Hall, brother, Earl Greer, and sister, Rosie Hall. Alice was retired from Prestige Fabricators and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by five children, Patricia Dawson and husband, Ernest Lindsay, of Lexington, Audrey Morrison and husband, Frank, of Sophia, Karen Holdaway and husband, Dale, of Sophia, Jessie Hall, Jr., of Sophia, and Robin Johnson and husband, Kenneth, of Jacksonville, NC; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Loraine Ward, Vivian Strewsberry and Elizabeth Shelton ; and brothers, Lawrence Greer, Oscar Greer, Walnar Greer and Archie Greer.

Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Berean Memorial Baptist Church in Sophia, officiated by Rev. Joe Farlow. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Hall-Montgomery Cemetery in Ararat, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.
