Andrea Anita (Ballard) Houston

Andrea Anita Ballard Houston, 64, died Monday, April 5, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Health - High Point Medical Center.

Andrea was born November 1, 1956 in Newport, Rhode Island, the loving daughter of the late Lawrence William Ballard and Rosa Lee DeWitt Ballard.  Andrea was also preceded in death by sister, Charlene Russ Fabiyi and brother, David Mulligan.

Andrea attended Rogers High School in Newport, Rhode Island.  Following high school, she worked as a customer service supervisor at Kmart and a secretary at Aquidenck Data Corporation.  In 1986, she married Roger Houston.  Andrea loved playing Bingo, thrifting, crocheting and cooking dishes like dirty rice.  She also enjoyed her wigs and her super long nails being painted and her wearing beret hats and her favorite pastime drinking coffee, but most of all spending valuable time with her family and friends.

Andrea is survived by her husband of 34 years, Roger Houston; daughter, Tiffany Ballard (Anthony) of High Point; son, Dawane Judson of High Point, son, Roger Jamal Houston of Biloxi, MS, son, Romar Houston and a daughter, Rodrea Houston of Gautier, MS. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Nicole Ballard and Latisha Brown of High Point; Elnisha Judson and Amari Judson of Pascagoula, MS; Great Grands; Cayden Ballard and Paris Ingram of High Point; siblings: sisters, Mary Jenkins of Middletown, RI, Donna James of Providence, RI, Ora Wiggins of Portsmouth, RI; brothers, Michael Ballard of Jacksonville, NC and William Ballard of Sugar Hill, GA; a special friend Mary Nagelhout, and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 2:00 pm.m until 3:30 p.m. at the Life Tribute Center, Cumby family Funeral Service, High Point, North Carolina.
