To the family of Andrea Wheless, I am just learning of her passing and am so very sorry for your loss. I was a returning Art Educ student at High Point during her first year at HPU. I took two classes with Andrea and both still inspire me as an artist and art teacher, today... Take care. Sincerely, Sharon

Andrea was a wonderful lady. When I first started at HPU she took me under her wing and helped me acclimate, not to mention mowing her yard for her so I could earn a little extra money on the side. I am so sorry to hear of this. A wonderful, kind, and heartfelt lady. She will be missed by so many! L

So sorry to hear of Andrea's passing. We were in high school together and would see one another around town. I had the pleasure of being in a group she took to Italy several years ago on an art tour. We had a fabulous time, shared so many laughs and many glasses of wine.
She truly did have a beautiful smile! I am sorry for your loss.

An extraordinary woman full of life, love, and encouragement to all. A hard working sensitive person expressing herself through the many modes of art. A terrible loss to us all but to know her was to love her.

Andrea was like a cooler, more understanding mom to me all through high school and beyond. She was patient and kind, and never judged me by my stupid actions. She loved me and taught me to love myself no matter what was said or thought by others. I will always remember one of her favorite quotes,” if God approved of nudity, we would have all been born naked”! I love this! This shows tolerance, and love and respect for the human form. This was reflected in her beautiful works of art. I’m honored to have been able to witness her process. Her sculpting and influence is still very much part of what I do as a hairstylist everyday, and for this, I thank her. Andrea loved life, her work, animals, and most of all family. It is such a blessing to have been able to be part of her family, as I always felt like a sister to Keena and a daughter to her. I wil miss this precious woman. Her beauty, inside and out, her smile, and those dimples will not be forgotten. Rest In Peace, beautiful lady! I will always love you!

My thoughts and prayers are with Larry and the family. I saw Lu last year at Cornerstone at Westchester. We had a good talk, but I had no idea she was that sick, and so sorry to learn this. We've come along way from Lexington Ave. and North Drive. Those were the days, and we shared lots of good times together. Rest in peace, Lu! Vickie

Good-bye to a beautiful lady, who touched the lives of so many students and brought out their artistic talents. It was my good fortune to have had Andrea as my colleague for 28 years. She will remembered and missed by so many.
