HIGH POINT – Anna Conley Slack, 89, of High Point died Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at her residence.
She was born November 6, 1928, in Bar Harbor, Maine, and was the daughter of the late Wilbur Grant and Mary Sutherland Conley. She served as a nurse in the U.S. Navy and retired as a registered nurse from the Presbyterian Home in High Point.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Clark Slack, whom she married June 19, 1954; three sisters; and one brother.
Anna is survived by two daughters, Patti Wright and husband, David, and Terri Stevens and husband, Rick; two sons, Rick Slack and wife, Marilee, and Mike Slack, all of High Point; seven grandchildren, Cameron Stevens, Price Stevens (Anna), Justin Slack (Lauren), Laura Slack, David Wright, Jr. (Caitlin), Warren Slack (Sarah) and Elliott Slack; five great-grandchildren, Taylor Grace Stevens, Jillian Stevens, Collin Karim, Colton Slack, and Turner Slack; one sister, Doris Landry of Virginia; one brother, Arthur Conley (Pat) of Maine; and one sister-in-law, Susan Rich of Fuquay Varina.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 PM Monday, July 9, 2018, in the Life Tribute Center of Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
