April Renee Buie Rich

THOMASVILLE- April Renee Buie Rich, 50, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, after a courageous and valiant fight with ALS. She was surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on May 24, 1971 in Randolph County, a daughter of Wanda Trotter George and the late Tommy Buie. A resident of this area all her life, she had worked as a Bookkeeper and was an active member of Unity Baptist Fellowship in Sophia, where she helped with Vacation Bible School, and was a member of the Women’s Ministry. She loved spending time reading her Bible and doing devotions early in the morning, and having a good cup of coffee. Her true love and passion after her Lord, was her family, she especially enjoyed going to her children’s baseball and volleyball games and just being involved in their lives as much as she could, and as long as her health permitted. She was a caring, big-hearted, loving daughter, mom, and friend and will be dearly missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory; her children, Dylan, Laura and Mason; her mother, Wanda Trotter George and her dear friend, Dina Knowles.

A service to celebrate April’s life will be held on Sunday, October 24, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service of Archdale, with Pastor Jimmy Kiker officiating. Her family will receive friends on Sunday, from 1:45 until 2:45 p.m., at the funeral home.
