Arnold "Al" Loyd Mills

Mr. Arnold “Al” Loyd Mills, 86, resident of High Point, died January 12, 2022 at his home.

He was born August 17, 1935 in Guilford County, a son to Paul J. and Dora Lessie Garner Mills.  A resident of this area all his life, he was a graduate of Allen Jay High School and a member of First Baptist Church in High Point.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and had a passion for aviation, which continued through the years with his membership in several aviation clubs.  In addition to airplanes, he also enjoyed fishing.  In 1984, he married the former Joyce Ann Brannock who survives of the residence.  Two sons, Monty L. Mills and Terry Mills, preceded him in death.

Also surviving are two sons, Clyde L. Mills (Michelle) of Climax and K.T. Mills of Florida; two stepdaughters, Gerri Ann Zimmerman of Wilmington and Christy Rivers of Winston-Salem; a sister, Hazel Corn of Archdale; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Service will be 11:00 a.m., Sunday, January 23, 2022 in the Floral Garden Memorial Park Mausoleum.
