Ashley Dawn Charles

Ashley G. Charles, 42, of Randleman, North Carolina, died unexpectedly on July 15, 2021.

Ashley was born August 25, 1978, a daughter to Steven Michael Gunter and Tamara Gunter. She spent her early childhood in the High Point and Trinity areas and later graduated from Trinity High School in 1996 and Greensboro Technical Community College in 1998. She worked as a nurse for many years before marrying and joining her husband in forming a successful business. In 1998, Ashley married Craig Charles and continued to support him in the business while also caring for their growing family. Ashley loved trips to the beach, where she spent many great vacations with her family. Ashley was a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, granddaughter, and friend to many. She was a very loving and caring person, who never met a stranger. She will always be remembered for her loving heart and her great sense of humor. Ashley left us all with many wonderful memories of the times we spent with her.

Ashley is predeceased by her father, Steven Michael Gunter; grandfather, Phillip Gunter; stepfather, Howard Jarrell; and brother, Ian Gunter. Surviving is her mother, Tamara Jarrell; brother, David Gunter; husband, Craig Charles; and three children, her son Justin Killingsworth and his partner Ashley Cole, her daughter, Hailey Charles and her partner James Rucker, and her youngest son, Cole Charles.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20, in the chapel of the Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale with Rev. Roger Carmichael officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
