Audrey Jean (Fontaine) Nabel

Mrs. Audrey Jean Fontaine Nabel, 86, resident of High Point, died August 31, 2018 at The Stratford.

Mrs. Nabel was born January 7, 1932 in New Haven County, Connecticut, a daughter to Charles P. and Eva Sanderson Fontaine.  She grew up in that area and spent most of her life in Connecticut, until moving to High Point, North Carolina in 2006.  Audrey was a real lady.  She was always very organized and that aided her during the years she worked in banking as a foreign currency representative and throughout her life.  In 1952, she married Carl Lawrence Nabel who preceded her in death in 2007.

Surviving are four children, David L. Nabel and wife LeAnn of Wethersfield, CT, Linda N. Winalski of W. Roxbury, MA, Dr. Douglas R. Nabel and wife Pat of High Point, NC and Diane M. Nabel of Clinton, MA; and two grandchildren, Michael Raymond and Daniel Nabel.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Rocky Hill.  Visitation will precede the graveside service from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Thursday at Rose Hill Funeral Home in Rocky Hill.
