Augustus Pierre Freeman

Augustus Pierre Freeman, 58, passed away at WFBH-High Point Medical Center on Wednesday, November 13, 2019.

Augustus was born in Camden, New Jersey on December 15, 1960 to the late Augustus Freeman and Emma Mae Freeman.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Paul Michael Freeman and two sisters, Tonya Freeman and Rhonda Freeman.

A serious person, his mottos were “Dad’s belt and the Ten Commandments lay a heavy conviction” and “You break one, you get the belt.”  He enjoyed a good meal with his family gathered at the table or gathered in front of the Television.  He also had a soft side and could take a joke.  Augustus trusted Jesus and Jesus saved Augustus.

Augustus is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary Irene Freemen; son, Adam Fuller and wife, Amanda of Maryland; daughter, Emma May Johnson and husband, Fred of Wake Forest; grandchildren, Phillip L. McAdoo, Jr., Tylese D. McAdoo, MacKenzie L. McAdoo, Trajan E. Burnham-Fuller, Maxwell D. Johnson; brothers, Larry Freeman, Grady Freeman, Lorenzo Freeman; sisters, DeeDee Freeman and Latonya Freeman.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 17, 2019 in the Mausoleum Chapel at Floral Garden Park Cemetery in High Point with the Reverend Sam White officiating.  The family will greet friends following the service.
