Barbara Ann (Baron) Humphrey

Barbara Ann Baron Humphrey, 71, of High Point passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, June 30, 2019.

Barbara was born in Ansonia, Connecticut on October 18, 1947 to the late Eugene Wines Baron and Irene Kuczynski Baron.  In additon to her parent Barbara was preceded in death by her husband June 7, 2019, Frank Martin Humphrey and a sister, Joan Klanko.

Barbara enjoyed life and spending her time with family and friends.  She loved her trips to the beach, which was her favorite place to relax.  She enjoyed serving others and this was demonstrated in the work she chose to do, her own cleaning service.  She helped others keep their home and businesses neat and clean.  She was the owner of “Barb’s Helping Hand” for 5 years and finished her career in custodial service for Coastal Carolina Regional Airport.  Her zeal for life will be missed by all who knew her.

Those who will cherish Barbara’s memory are: her daughter, Janet Ann DeJohn and husband, Jay of High Point,; granddaughter, Isabella DeJohn; daughter, Ann Marie Maness of Texas; siblings, Eugene Baron and wife, Maureen of Connecticut, Richard Baron and wife, Dee of Texas, Irene Phillips and husband, Alan of Connecticut.

A funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2019 in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point, officiated by Father Thomas P. Norris, OSFS. Interment will follow in Deep River Friends Meeting Cemetery. The family will receive friends, July 5, 2019 from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
