Barbara Underwood VonCannon

Mrs. Barbara Underwood VonCannon, 76, resident of Trinity, died July 14, 2019 at her home.

Mrs. VonCannon was born December 26, 1942 in Guilford County, a daughter to the late Ervin and Mallie Williams Collins.  As a resident of this area all her life, she graduated from Ragsdale High School and later worked at Floyd Evans and Associates.  She also was a member of Allendale Baptist Church.  She was married to Harvey H. Underwood who preceded her in death in 1983.  Later that year, she married Jimmy Fryhover, and, in 2016 married Dennis VonCannon who survives of the residence.

Also surviving are children, Jeff Bunn and wife Debbie of South Carolina; Robert Bunn of Lexington, Kathy Reddick and husband Stanley of Trinity, Dawn Davis of Trinity, Pam Underwood of Albemarle, Harvey Underwood of Sophia, Tammy Gurley and husband Scott of Sophia, Donald Underwood of Trinity, Tonia Sykes and husband Terry of Silver Valley and Chersie Watts and husband Mark of Trinity; twenty six grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Linda Hughes.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of the Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale with Rev. David Younger officiating.  Interment will follow at Floral Garden Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Condolences may be made through www.cumbyfuneral.com.
