Barbara Jean Folsom McKinney

TRINITY-Barbara Jean Folsom McKinney, 79, passed away on Monday, August 05, 2019.

She was born on January 22, 1940 in Darlington County, SC to the late Thomas and Doris Davis Folsom. She retired from Belk’s after 15 years of service. Barbara Jean enjoyed reading; especially the Bible and her daily devotionals, working crossword puzzles and shopping. She also enjoyed watching NASCAR and taking care of her home. She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother, and will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were her husband, Charles McKinney; a son, Toby McKinney and 2 brothers, Thomas Folsom and Jimmy Folsom.

She is survived by her son, Wayne McKinney (Carolyn Perdieu); her brother, Benny Folsom; her grandsons, Chase McKinney and Jayce Johnson and her granddaughter,Tate McKinney.

A service to celebrate Barbara Jean’s life will be held on Friday morning, August 9, at 11 o’clock, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale. A Committal service will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park Mausoleum. Her family will receive friends Thursday evening, August 8, from 6 until 8, at the funeral home.
