Bayne Bartlett

HIGH POINT- Bayne Bartlett, 85 entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.

He was born on May 21, 1937 in Galax, VA, a son of the late Curtis Bartlett and Ruth Williams. He moved to this area when he was 16, where he met the love of his life, the former Faye Wilson. They were married in 1958 and had celebrated 51 wonderful years together before she died in 2009. He owned and operated Bartlett’s Woodworking and then eventually retired from the furniture industry. He was a faithful member of Deep River Church of Christ as long as his health permitted. Bayne enjoyed the outdoors; especially going to the beach, picking his guitar and woodworking. He particularly enjoyed making small cars and other toys and would go to local schools to teach them about woodworking. His true love and passion was spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a strong Christian man with a servant’s heart, who loved his Lord and his family, and will be dearly missed. In addition to his parents and wife, preceding him in death were a son, Perry Lee Bartlett; two brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his children, Renee Bartlett and Deon Bartlett; his sisters, Joy Forrest and Lavie McDaniel; his grandchildren, Jaron, Jordana, Zack and Sarah; his great grandchildren, Dylan and Mirabel and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Bayne’s life will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 26, at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale, with Family Minister David Galloway officiating.  His family will receive friends from 12:45 p.m. until 1:45 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
