Billie Carol McLeoud Reddeck passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 4, 2019. She was born on April 28, 1931 in High Point, NC, to the late Howard L. McLeoud Sr. and Elsie Mae McLeoud. She grew up in Highland Mill Village, returning to her childhood home to care for her mother in the early ‘90s. She lived there until 2018 when she moved to The Stratford Retirement Community in High Point, NC. Billie worked at several local hosiery mills in High Point as well as Singer Fidelity and WGHP TV. She retired from the accounting department of Sara Lee Hosiery in the mid-90’s. Billie was an independent, hardworking woman. She had a strong faith and sweet smile. She loved animals, especially dogs, and music. She enjoyed the mountains of NC and Tennessee and visited them often. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, taking them to ride the carousels outside of grocery stores and going to Checkers for cheeseburgers and ice cream. Her presence will be missed by family and friends.
Billie was preceded in death by her husband H. Leon Reddeck and one brother, Howard “Mack” McLeoud Jr. She is survived by one son Hershel Reddeck (wife Teena); two grandchildren: Christopher Reddeck and Chelsea Reddeck Rittase (husband Rob) and two great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 1:00 until 2:30 pm at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale. Graveside services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont in High Point and Archdale United Methodist Church in Archdale.
