Billy "Bill" White

ARCHDALE-Billy “Bill” White, 84, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019.

He was born on December 26, 1934 in Guilford County, to the late Paul and Clara Mae Routh White. A resident of this area all his life, he was a veteran of the US Air Force, serving during the Korean War, and retired as Plant Manager at Davis Furniture. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death was his step grandson, Michael “Mike” Baird.

He is survived by his wife; Betty Bare White; his sons, Reverend Tim White (Becky), Alan White (Janet), John White (Mark), and David White (Lisa); his sister, Maxine Freeman (Glenn); his grandchildren, Zachary White (Haley), Timothy White and Brittany Swett (Chris), his great grandchildren, Finn Swett, Cora Swett, and Emery White; his step great grandson, Walker Baird, and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Bill’s life will be held on Monday afternoon, March 18, at 2 o’clock, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, with Reverend Tim White and Reverend Wayne Tucker officiating. Interment, with Military Honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard, will follow in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. His family will receive friends on Sunday evening, March 17, from 4 until 6 o’clock, at the funeral home.
