Bobby Ray Owen

Mr. Bobby Ray Owen, 85, of Archdale, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at High Point Regional Hospital.

Born August 29, 1931, in Seagrove, Bobby was the son of the late Purvie and Mae Wyatt Owen. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Betty Lou Owen. Bobby was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and owned and operated Sun Ray Distributors. He and his wife, Margaret, loved traveling in their RV and had been through every state in the country and Canada.

Bobby is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Margaret Leach Owen; sister Carolyn Wagoner and husband, Billy; nephew Kevin Wagoner and wife, Arleen; great niece and nephews, Kaylee, Dylan and Ryan; and special friends, James and Carey Allen.

Funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale officiated by Rev. Harold Shives. Interment will follow in Trinity Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
