TRINITY – Bonnie Hunt Pierce Keck, 81, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 at High Point Medical Center.
She was born July 2, 1940 in Randolph County and was the daughter of the late Archie and Esther Carrick Hunt. She was a graduate of Farmer High School and an upholstery seamstress with Heritage House Furniture for many years. Bonnie was a woman of God with a strong, steadfast faith, and she enjoyed studying her Bible and good preaching. She was a people-person and never met a stranger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Carl Van Pierce, Sr. and Danny Keck; sisters, Marie Hoover and Faye Trotter; and brothers, Howard Hunt and Ray Hunt.
Bonnie is survived by her children, Terri Pierce and Van Pierce (Paige), both of Trinity, Jack Pierce and Scotty Pierce, both of Archdale; eight grandchildren, Dana Pierce, Brittany Pierce, Ashley Pierce, MacKenzie Pierce, Austin Pierce, Hayley Pierce, Scotty Pierce, Jr., and Jacqueline Pierce; sister, Pauline Walker of Trinity; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service celebrating Bonnie’s life will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Mt. Pleasant Community Church Cemetery in Trinity with Pastor Ted Tuggle officiating. To honor her and her fight with COVID, masks are requested to be worn.
The family will speak with friends at the cemetery following the service.
