Butch Johnson

Mr. Butch Johnson, 66, of Archdale, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at his residence.

Born June 7, 1952, in Conway, SC, Butch was the son of the late Jack and Ruby Lee Shelly Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Christopher Keen, sister, Bessie Lee Johnson, and brother, Hubert Johnson. Butch was retired from Precision Laser. He enjoyed fishing and helping others.

Butch is survived by his wife of 36 years, Julia Brown Johnson, of the home; two children, Denise Pruitt and husband, Douglas, and Bradley Wade and wife, Lacy; six grandchildren, Shayann, Oliveah, Kaylynn, Taylor, Katie and Brayden Wade; two brothers, Ted Johnson and wife, Janice, and Lanue Johnson; and two sisters, Sylvia Joe Johnson and Ann Johnson.

Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 22nd, 2019, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, officiated by Chris Ehrlich, Chaplain. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
