Carl Roosevelt Adams

Mr. Carl Roosevelt Adams, 86, beloved father and resident of Thomasville, joined his wife at their heavenly home on May 25, 2020.

He was born March 27, 1934 in Guilford County, a son to the late Wesley R. and Elva Anderson Adams.  A resident of this area all his life, he was a long-time employee of Henredon Furniture and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in High Point.  He loved his family dearly and experienced great joy in visiting and spending time together.  He married the former Shirley Setliff who preceded him in death on May 28, 1991.

Surviving are three daughters, Roberta Brown and husband David of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Cindy Fletcher and husband Larry Idol of Trinity, and Carletta Sullivan and husband J.V. of Ponce Inlet, Florida; four grandchildren, Crystal Little, Delana Newsom, Cristen Ratay, and Jodi Montano; nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.  Also preceding him in death was a granddaughter, C.J. Sullivan.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point.  Interment will follow at Floral Garden Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be directed to Church of God of Prophecy, 211 N. Ward Ave. High Point, N.C. 27262.
