Mr. Carlos “ Charlie” Alberto Ayala, 66, resident of High Point, died Friday, April 12, 2019 at his residence.
Mr. Ayala was born February 13, 1953 in San Turce, Puerto Rico, a son to Pedro and Felicia Ayala. He later moved to Brooklyn in New York City where he grew up and spent most of his life. He’d been a resident of this area one year. Charlie loved music, cooking, and especially laughing and joking. He was a loving, son, father, brother, husband and grandfather.
Surviving is his mother, Felicia Ayala Lopez; three daughters, Adrienne Oakes, Terese Vega and Nicky Ayala; two brothers, Angelo “Andy” Ayala and Samuel Henry Ayala; and seven grandchildren, Huntyr Oakes, Adam Oakes, Kristofer Gonzalez, Aaron Vega, Tyler Oakes, Ariana Vega and Schuyler Oakes. He was preceded in death by his brother, Pedro Ayala Jr. and his father.
A visitation will be held from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Friday in the Life Tribute Center at Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point.
