Charles Ernest “Charlie” Game II, 77, resident of Asheboro, died November 7, 2020 at Graybrier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Trinity.

He was born April 20, 1943, a son to the late Edward Paul and Anita Tim Game.  He graduated from N.C. State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering.  Afterwards, he began his career working for Alcoa Aluminum and later as director of Product Reliability and Standards for Hatteras Yachts.  In 1994, he started E.C. Game Engineering as owner and President.  He was a Registered Professional Engineer in both Tennessee and North Carolina.  He was appointed to the Technical Board of Directors of The American Boat and Yacht Council where he served as President, the Marine Technical Board of The Society of Automotive Engineers, National Marine Manufacturers Association, U.S. Coast Guard National Boating and Safety Advisory Council and the National Fire Protection Association.  Charlie also was a charter member of the North Carolina Solar Energy Association, a previous camper and counselor at Camp Sea Gull, and a licensed Amateur Radio Operator since he was twelve years old. 

In 1966 he married the former Linda Bennett, who survives of the residence. Also surviving are two sons, Edward Paul Game II of Myrtle Beach and C.M. Game of Asheboro; and two grandchildren, Edward Paul Game III and Sarah Celeste Game.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, at Mt. Pleasant Community Church Cemetery in Trinity.
