Charles Gervas Allen

Mr. Charles Gervas Allen, 81, of Trinity, passed away, Thursday, June 14, 2018, at High Point Regional Hospital.

Born February 14, 1937, in Wilson County, Charles was the son of the late Floyd and Edna Smith Allen. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Janet Rogers Allen. Charles was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, and owned and operated Roger Finishing along with his wife. He was an avid fisherman and golfer, and a fan of all sports. He formerly was active as a coach of youth league sports in the Trinity area.

Charles is survived by four children, Cathy Boggs and husband, John, of Cary, Rickey Allen and wife, Kathy, of Trinity, Lee Allen and partner, J.P. Kilkenny, of High Point, and Christy Cox and husband, Michael, of Trinity; six grandchildren, John Boggs, II and wife, Patti, Catherine Boggs, Christin Cox, Kali Cox, Courtney Allen and Ashton Allen; and two sisters, Peggy Barrow and Betty Lou Braddock.

Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 18th, at Trinity Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Morris Little. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
