Charles Henry Weaver

Charles Henry Weaver, 85, of High Point, passed away January 10, 2018.  He was born August 16, 1932, in Scottsboro, AL, to the late Charles and Larcie Weaver.  A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Charles served his country for four years.  He was an avid golfer, a winner of the High Point City Championship and a former member of the High Point Golf Association.  He loved to fish, enjoyed woodworking and was the owner of Henry Weaver Carpet for over 20 years.  A man of Christian faith, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Phyllis Weaver; two sons, Scott Weaver and wife Sharon, and Mike Weaver and wife Sandra; one sister, Virginia Reece; and four grandchildren, Colton Weaver (Holly), Charlie Weaver, Hannah Weaver and Jennah Weaver.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Clara Sullivan, Elizabeth Warren, Becky Mitchell, Harvey Weaver and Jim Weaver.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point, beginning at 11:00a.m. until the memorial service at 12:00p.m. with Pastor Kevin Broyhill officiating.  Inurnment will follow at Floral Garden Park Cemetery.
